White custom-made bricks from Canterbury were carefully staggered against the grain to create a clay-brick cladding further complemented by a striking schist column on the chimney surround.

Entering the property down a staircase inset with railway sleepers, visitors are greeted by double doors imported from Mexico. The door frame itself was a bespoke piece, painstakingly created by Rob, to match the door that was imported without a matching door frame. The final effect was incredible, looking exactly like it was made by the same custom manufacturer of the door. Inside, the open-plan interior features a hydrocork flooring, sunken living room, dining room and a kitchen which incorporates a granite benchtop and custom walnut butcher’s block as well as a generous scullery. Expansive, flush sliders open onto the wraparound deck, complete with fireplace, louvred roof and wooden hot tub. Features such as central air conditioning and a smart home control system take rural living to the next level.

Located in an upstairs bathroom, a beautiful real stone bathtub resides which was so heavy that it took 5 men to carry upstairs. The team had to then work around it, protecting it from damage while the walls and interior were built.
