Emphasis Homes is a locally owned and operated Design and Build company that has been building high quality homes since its inception in 2019.

With over 30 years of collective experience in the industry, providing labour to build homes as Emphasis Construction, (as well as each of us building our own homes!), we truly understand what works and what doesn’t. This is why we took the leap and launched Emphasis Homes to offer our customers the complete package!

Over the years we have established a process and a way of working with clients that enables you to take the lead on design and what you envision, with us guiding and supporting you at critical junctures to ensure you remain on budget. Our entire team problem-solve and innovate together to overcome any potential hurdles.  This ensures any construction limitations and potential obstacles are considered and resolved before an issue can arise.

Background

Emphasis was originally operating as a labour only building company working on award winning homes under the guidance of its founding owner Rob for over 15 years.

Long story short Rob met Derek, when he was contracted to build his home in Whitford, and it was a meeting of like minds.

He soon realised that they didn’t build exclusively for the building company he had chosen. They were splitting their time contracting to different companies which resulted in delays on site.

Derek saw an opportunity and a genuine gap in the market for a company that employed their own team across the Design and Build stages for a seamless and more efficient approach. Derek, along with Tayla and Rob, founded Emphasis Homes, to provide a seamless, cohesive building process for its clients.

Emphasis Homes was established in 2019 and continues to make its mark in the industry, driven by the passion and values of a family-owned business.

From the very beginning, we found Emphasis very professional but at the same time, friendly.

They were very patient and ready to listen to all of our ideas and willing to go that extra mile to make things happen. Their communication is excellent and they were always ready to answer all of our questions.

Emphasis managed & co-ordinated our design process with their architect which was followed by the estimation process. All of this was quite hassle free, transparent and super smooth.

As a building company, they don’t just read but also analyse the architect’s drawings with a great deal of effort. This ensures they understand the intent and the vision that we had poured into designing our house. The master builder/project manager appointed for our house is very dedicated to his trade, friendly and easy to communicate with.

Kate and I can safely conclude by saying that Emphasis build homes through their heart and not just their mind.
